The living land

No one made the world. The land is alive, and it heals back toward its own grain, as a body heals.

What the land cannot heal is the blight, which comes from somewhere the land has no memory of.

The Kethdael were the first to read the land's grain. They copied its healing patterns into carved stone, and so the wards of the Vale are a people's invention. Patterncasters scribe the land's patterns.
