It Carves Back
It Carves Back is a main story in the Wending Vale, offered by Thelaen.
A ward is the land's own healing pattern, cut in stone. When one breaks, the pattern stops holding, and something below starts scratching its own instead. Blight seeps up where the scratching runs deepest. Press these tracing-stones to the seeps by the Delve. Mind what crawls out, and bring me the shards they leave.

Dialogue
While you work
The scored seeps are south-east of Haywood, on the way to the Delve. Press a stone to each, keep your feet, and bring me the shards the blightlings leave behind.
On completion
See the lines scored in the shards? That isn't blight-rot. That's a ward-pattern, cut backwards. Something down there still remembers the design, and it's unmaking it one line at a time.
